Nursing and Dementia

Residents in an old people's home - representing nursing and dementia

Our Nursing and Dementia Services adopts a person-centred approach to caring and responding to our clients. This entails the following principles:

  • Flexibility
  • Individuality
  • Integrity
  • Continuity of care
  • Responsive to Care Needs.

Based on these principles our care training packages are designed to ensure all our staff are trained and given appropriate induction to enable our care delivery embodies these values.

We believe in caring for service users with dementia as individuals, responding to their actual needs and not assuming their needs are based on any set criteria, knowing the service user as a person and providing meaningful activities in accordance to their differences.

A key part of our commitment is being morally responsible and accountable in our daily relationships to clients and services users. This ranges from care planning and review, daily entries, medication administration, record keeping as well as our relations to family members and the general public.

Our care services are highly responsive to the legitimate expectation of all our clients and care needs of service users. Thus, ensuring care is provided as soon as needed and in turn minimising waiting times.
